Hi Jane,

Ron's response about the learning curve when being introduced to a new/different software package is encountered is right on the money. Have you heard of practice, practice, pratice? ..... seriously just be patient and you will soon be back up to speed.

Family View..... My technique for updating/inputting information is to use the Pedigree & Family View in combination and 'right-clicking' on the highlighted individual which allows for adding/editing of individual data, updating of notes, also adding spouses, children, unlinking from parents and/or spouses, deleting individuals/families, going to report features and merging duplicates with a simple click on those features.

I'm sure other packages do the same thing, but since you're now using RM4.1, work the 'tool line' for pedigree, family, descendants, people, web search & the generational scale. You will be amazed at how quickly and easily you can navigate the RM package.
