I came into genealogy right on the cusp of the new resources and I love it. I am grateful to all those before me who didn't have a Google or a Ancestry.Com to use. At the same time, I love having so much available to me at my fingertips.

Like you, I am a true believer that nothing compares to actually going to the courthouse or archives and getting the information the "hard/old way." There is no way that folks are going to be able to get out of those visits; I don't think so in my lifetime.

I, too, have the CDs that came with the Family Tree Maker program; the SSDI up to like 1998 and what not. What in the world do you do with those now? **Laughs**
