I've found out that even if you have a software program, you can't get away from papers, folders, notes and just stuff generated from your research. One good aspect of a computer based program is that it gives you a perspective on where your ancestry and descendants fits in on your genealogical tree and forces you at times to create your sources and citations for your records. In fact( Nope! I don't always do it either), it's a good idea to do it anyway. Ask yourself if, for some reason you passed, could someone else in your family follow your paper trail and continue your research? If not, What do I need to do to pass my research on to others.
