In Response To: Re: Computer ()
Were talking about to different file types here. As an example, is the file called PDF.ZIP, XXX.PDF or XXX.Zip? From your message it is 5.9 megabytes. What alarms me though is the Alpha characters before the file size...c5.09! Most computers will compute 5.09 megs as 5.1 megs! It might be a version number but the PDF program and the reader is at about version 8 or 9 and the Zip program called Winzip for a Windows PC is greater than version 9.0.
A PDF file as you probably know is a read only Document file in a format by Adobe, unless you have the full program. You only need the PDF reader to open the file. The reader is free from Adobe's website.
The Zip file is a compacted file and you need the zip extraction or expansion program by Winzip computing or a MAC Version of the program. Again you can find a free trial version for your use.
Unless the entity you received the file from does not update their PDF or Zip programs, I would continue to be paranoid abouth the file!
Did you run your virus program against the file and what was the outcome?
