The title of this article was incorrect! It should be called "online gaming addiction". The Internet has many functions and online dating, gaming, gambling or porn is an online activity that can be addictive and available in cyberspace. It's sort of like physically going to every restaurant avaliable to you, never checking out the menu to order food but consuming alcohol and only alcohol. There is a place for that! It's usually called a neighborhood Bar!

This individuals addiction was to one particular online gaming scenerio. An Internet addiction to me would be someone that has to have the fastest available method to access the internet or He or she cannot function at all without logging into the net and staying online 24 hrs a day. I think this "addiction" is currently defined by many names such as Cable, DSL, Fibre, and dialup. Some symptoms of the addiction are known as E business, Online Banking, Online shopping, Email...etc(grin)!
