Re: How To Build A Web Site for Your Family Tree
In Response To: Re: How To Build A Web Site for Your Family Tree ()
I'm amazed that people change their ISP so often! I've had the same ISP since 1994. When my original ISP sold their Domain to earthlink, it was like pulling teeth to make sure none of my contacts got lost in the shuffle. That said.... Tribal Pages is an excellent choice! What amazes me about these online trees and Ahnentafel websites though, is that most have not been updated, somed abandoned. It seems that once it's on the net, it's always there. I always look for the last updated date when I come across an online tree that contains data on an extended family member in my tree. I have found messages I previously posted, floating on the net, in forums from 1993 with Central VA Freenet. There is a website that is based totally on Archived web pages! For Genealogy researchers, this is a blessing in disquise. I have been able to follow some surname research, through archived forum discussions from as early as 1999 to the present.
