I hope there isn't any catch. I have used SKYPE without any problems since May. It's a great way for me to keep in touch with my European in-laws and friends without paying a fortune. My brother-in-law who lives in the Netherlands and travels frequently to Latin America and Indonesia, introduced me to it. He has used it from the beginning and loves it too.I have only called from my computer to other computers. If we use the camera, the kids can be seen by their cousins.(There is a tiny bit of lag time if you use the camera.)

If you want to call someone on a regular landline and/or cellphone, you can do it free (US and Canada) until the end of the year. I can't imagine what my phone bill would be like if I called my Dutch friends 4-5 times a week.
