I tried the new search functions when Ancestry sort of "forced" you to use it for a few days. My first reaction was "What a pretty screen!". I then tried a few things but eventually returned to the old screens. I now use the "new/old", 2nd generation home page screens you are force to use.

As long as I can find the link to download my tree once a week and get to the African American filter, I'm a happy camper. As a Old PC DOS user from 1984, I realized long ago, how much "Windows Eye Candy" I can take. I guess thats why I still use PAF instead of FTM2009 I purchased last Christmas.

They are now working on new "innovations" to check out soon. I can't wait. Hopefully they can get FTM to work as they advertised with Ancestry.com! I sometime gringe when I find an 1870 or earlier census transcription with 5 or more individual that I need. No relationship info, no merge.
