You can download and checkout this trial version. As I understand it, the trial expires 3/31/2009 so there isn't much time left. I am a user of RM3 and installing the trial version in no way affected my RM3 files. I've downloaded this and have been playing with it a little. There doesn't seem to be a lot of new stuff but rather improvements to RM3 features and of course better compatibility with windows VISTA. One of the more intriguing new features is RootsMagic-to-go. You're allowed to download the program and databases onto a thumbdrive. This means you can take your research to the library/archive/FHC with you. I have yet to try the RootsMagic-to-go feature but I plan to try that soon. I used the old create a shareable cdrom function on RM3 and it proved to be very handy when I traveled. I didn't have to lug my laptop with me on vacation. This newer version seems to be even more flexible.
