[TN] Slaves as taxable property
By:Patrice Scott <Show E-Mail>

I have found a document of my ancestors owner dated 1820 and it is a list of his taxable property. Would slaves have to be listed in 1820 as taxable property and listed by name? The county would be Maury County.
