[Nationwide] Found my Pinkney's

I have been found by a descendant of the Pinkney's. It seems one of the last members of a family group died 11 Oct 2013 and I think this particular descendant was curious and googled Pinkney. A posting for Pinkney-Lucille Richardson bn 1919 came up on the internet. I had posted the family group, dates and info I knew and I believe this is where he found it. Dose'nt really matter at this point how. All THAT matters is I realized instead of saying the SC family of my grandma whom she never knew, are my kinfolks. We r related by a bloodline from Adelaide Teague Vance bn 1820.
What is even more significant is the first opening segmant of the PBS series that Henry Gates shows of Sierre Leone, West Africa is where Adelaide is taken from. I just never realized they captured and enslaved young children so they would be able to withstand the voyage to the plantations. This is most likely how my gggrandma made it to SC.. as a child. She is my 'Priscilla'. On all the records I have found the VANCE name was always used as a surname but there was no husband named. I have been able to confirm 'the white man's name' that caused me and my family to be here. On the census it says she had 10 children. I have names for 6, one is my ggranma Lucy. I wonder what happen to the other's?
