[AL] Tuskegee Midwife

This book was written about Ms Elvira Barrow Martin who was a midwife in Tuskegee, Alabama. Apprenticed by Ms Katie Harris Martin, our great grandaunt, she would deliver possibly thousands of babies in Macon County. She is the grand and great great grandmother of the Howards now residing in Linconia. Ms. Elvira was widowed when she came to Linconia from Tuskegee back in the 1950s and lived with her daughter Ms Mary Howard. Some of my family members married into this family. My mother's brother Glister Webb married Ms. Elvira's daughter, Marie (Aunt Honey) Martin and Ms. Emma Barrow, the sister of Ms. Elvira, married my paternal grand uncle Frank Harris. The book has many stories. Chapter 6 of this book was dedicated to Grand aunt Katie Harris and has names of several related family members. Our 2 families have been friends for over 160 years.
