After limited research, I conclude most of us Jeter's or Geter's with South Carolina ties are possibly related. Massa' William Jeter held 24 slaves in Edgefield County. Sometime during the next 20 years +- William Sr.allowed William Jr to travel to Union county.Jr. took 12 of the 24 slaves with him, hell, maybe a wedding present or Sherman on their #$$.
