Lindsay and Joseph P Phelps) are of women who I do not recognize, so I don't know if they are relatives or family friends. The Phelps portrait is quite old, from the turn of the last century; while the Lindsay photo is dated 1928. My father's family is originally from Alabama and I am not aware of any relatives/friends in Meridian. My goal is to find archives or records that could help me identify these women. Unfortunately, I have not made any progress with either the Lauderdale County Department of Archives or the Meridian-Lauderdale County Public Library. My father passed away 6 months ago and all of his relatives of the same generation predeceased him, so there is no one left to ask. May I ask where I can find the letter you cited?
