Re: [NY] William Henry
In Response To: Re: [NY] William Henry ()

It would really help if you could give at least one parent's name. There are too many Henry's to narrow down to your particular one.
Do you have a maiden name for his mother?
This could also be important when a parent is noted in the household.
There is one possibility in 1920 - Brooklyn.
William Henry and wife Emma from NC .
Living in the household are:
William 1 yr 4 mos (son)
Evelyn Jones - mother-in-law
and Eva - sister-in-law
Another possibility in 1920 - Manhattan.
John Sr. and wife Ida Henry with children:
William 1yr 4 mos
John 1 yr 4 mos

The birthplace for John Sr. was listed as South Carolina; Ida's birthplace was Florida. Sons were born in New York.

This entry shows William and John are twins.
There is no Joseph in the household, just an older son named Jessie.
There are MANY more possibilities in various US Population Census records.
The list of choices expands exponentially when you consider the family MAY have moved to a neighboring state, if just temporarily, during the census years in question.
Also note:
findagrave lists a William Henry - b. 8/--/1918, PFC US Army - buried in Calverton National Cemetery, Suffolk County, NY.

If this is the right William Henry, do you have a copy of his death record OR obituary?
It may give the name of his parents. With that info, the scope can be narrowed allowing others to help in your search.

Best wishes.
