Re: [MS] Malinda Burnett marriage
In Response To: Re: [MS] Malinda Burnett marriage ()
Cynthia, I believe you are rolling up 4 Dock Adamses into 1 person. The Dock Adams that married Louisa McIntosh was born in 1863/4 and can be tracked through the censuses to his death in Jackson, Madison, Tennessee. His parents were Dan and Mary Adams. I found him in the 1880, 1900 (Lee County), 1910 (Monroe County), and 1920 (Jackson, Madison, TN) censuses. There is a family tree on Ancestry.com that tracks this family. The Dock Adams that married Georgie was born in 1872 and I found him on the 1910 and 1920 censuses in Central Grove, Monroe, MS living with Georgie and family. He was also married to Rebecca Ross. The Dock Adams that was married to Malinda Burnett stated on his WWI Registration card that he was born October 2, 1886. I found him and Molinda Adams on the 1920 census for Laurel Ward 1, Jones, MS. On the 1910 census for Beat 4, Jones, MS I found Doc Adams listed as a boarder. Also on the 1910 census I found Malinda Burnett (age 29) in Laurel Ward 1, Jones, MS. She is listed as a widow (so are you sure that her maiden name was Burnett?). I could not find anything on Susie Hunt other than the marriage record. Good luck in your research.
