Wade appears with Emma and their children, Esbelle, and two males, Staple and Fluellen on the 1900 census; and, with Emma and one child, Douglass on the 1910 census, all in Williamson, Pike County, GA. There are a slew of Oxfords, black and white in Pike County, Georgia on the censuses, including a Harriet Oxford, a black woman born in 1843, who is married to Allen Oxford and has the children, Lucy, Augustus, Berry and William on the 1870 census.
