I think you're right, it is a mis-information, the Allen Cummings DC has the right parents, I'm taken it, not because the middle name was use for his, but because of the informant. Allen's niece, Eliza Smith, she was informant on her mom's DC and correctly stated the parents' name. This is her mother's brother, so I will trust she got the parents right.

Her father was informant on the other DC, so got it wrong, he's the uncle by marriage, so would be a little confused. He mistook that Joe for his wife's nephew.
