How would one go about determing what a first initial is for one- S. Loggins born abt 1830 in North Carolina; she's located in the 1880 census for Montgomery County, Winona, MS. She has two children with her-Julia and Aleck(aka Alexander).

I've tried tracking her through her kids to the later census; but with no luck into finding her first name. Any help appreciated.
