Re: [MS] Cain Loggins
In Response To: [MS] Cain Loggins ()

Hi Angela,

I remember the Loggins'. There have been several postings on this same family. But, first, it appears the children listed are those of Cain and Adeline. I looked at the 1870, 1880, and 1900 censuses. Three columns on the 1900 Census -
Number of Years married: 30
(This indicates 1870 as year of marriage)
Mother of how many children: 14
Number of these children living: 8

This might be helpful -
Choctaw County, Mississippi was formed in 1833 from parts of Madison, Monroe, and Yazoo counties.

Montgomery County, Mississippi was formed in 1871 from parts of Carroll and Choctaw counties.

I hope this helps.
