I first found my ADAMS in this community. It consisted of black people, who I know had to been x-slaves. Can someone point me to a 'little bit of history' about, it as to how it was named and anything else. It does help to know when you do research and might even help me to find out who was Dan/Dam Adams' last slave holder. His named was spelled DAM Adams on the 1870 census. I think the person writing, just did not do a very good job with penmanship because all other information with his name is spelled correctly--DAN.
Central Grove was and is part of Monroe Ms. It is stated today as an 'unincorporated area.
