OK, apparently I made the initial through the DCPL email contact form (i.e. Contact Us) on the library's website and it was forwarded to a "Washingtoniana?" Room.

I had found all of the exact obit info from a search of the rootsweb.com/ancestry.com's "Obituary Daily Times: Interactive Search". I was searching for a kind of prominent individual in DC with an uncommon surname.

Here's the blurb from rootsweb search :
PRYDE, Marion Augustine (JACKSON); 96; ; Wash DC Post (DC); 2008-4-1; efdee

I pasted that info in that with all of my contact
info (name, address, phone, email address).

In general, I do not find the find that Obituary Daily Times's search engine to be very user friendly but did yield the results I needed in that case. Also, the person died in 2008, not as I had stated in my previous post.
