Re: [Southern] WEST
In Response To: Re: [Southern] WEST ()
No, they are not one in the same. Maybe I should made it a little clearer. Both families tested with FTDNA a few years back. Out of the Y-DNA matches 25 markers out of 25 were matched by my Silas West, b 1832, NC, d 1904, Sampson County, NC. I was wondering if anyone had any information on Edwin Jackson West, b. 1836, AL and died in Vernon Parish, LA. We are a member of the same Group 12 and Halogroup. Really, I trying to find out who Edwin Jackson West's parents were.
Silas West was my oldest proven ancestor and Edwin Jackson was the ancestor of the other West family. So I was trying to find if the Parishes were the same as our counties and I got my answer for that from some other members. Thanks for your time.
BTW: One of the descendants of Edwin Jackson West just sent me an E-mail yesterday, whom I have never had a conversation with before, what a coincident and invited me to see his WEST tree.
