Hi Lynette. I have a few records which I published on my blog from Wilkinson County, MS. I will be making another trip down this summer to Mississippi to the courthouse to review records that I missed on my last trip and look for more. These records are only from the Woodville, MS courthouse. I haven't visited the Centreville, MS court house. I think because Mississippi doesn't have a liberal records release policy say like Alabama does, its much harder to get those public records. I also had the impression that its more difficult to research AA's in Wilkinson Co., especially if you live quite a ways out from there. There is also as I mentioned earlier an African-American historical society in Woodville, MS, but I don't have any contact information for them. I'm looking to make contact with them myself.
