I am researching, and have been since the early 1990s, slaves, plantations, and plantation owners in the Old Natchez District which consisted of five Mississippi counties Adams, Claiborne, Jefferson, Warren, and Wilkinson and three Louisiana parishes of Concordia, Madison, and Tensas. Most of about thirteen families related by blood or marriage owned the majority of the plantations and slaves.
