Ancestry.com does have South Carolina State that suppose to cover years 1790-1890, but that collection isn't as advertised or as the impression that it gives.

I don't know of any SC State census between Federal census years, there are some records at the South Carolina Department of Archives & History website that you can check out and that may be helpful. Their online Records Index.

If you family lived out on a farm, Ancestry.com has Agriculture census for SC, but if they don't show in census, they may not show in the Agriculture census.
