I have searched all Ruth Jeffersons in Virginia, and was able to to find them in prior or following census either living with a grandparent or married or living under maiden name.

Not sure what Ruth you're looking at, I do believe I have seen that record though.

I don't know what county they would be in, I'm new to Virginia as a researcher. My reason for just asking for resources and records I can look into, I checked the library of VA but doesn't look like it can help me at this point.
