2-10-1883 - Henry Manson A colored man on the plantation of Col Jas F Taylor. He was perhaps the oldest man in the state. He claimed to have been born before the Revolutionary war about 1771. He said he was a teamster at the battle of Bunker Hill in 1812.

2-18-1888 - Sadie Harris a negro child left alone in a cabin near the Catholic Cemetery around noon. While playing near the fire the clothing of Sadie became ignited. The child was horrible burned and died a few hrs later.
