[NC] Hairstons-Robinsons of Forsyth County

I has been a long while since I have done any research on the Hairston line of my family. I have been pre-occupied with several other lines of family history.

When I first started I was successful in locating my great great grandfather Tip Hairston. I first found him in the 1910 Frankin County, Ohio census in the same household with my great grandparents Elmer and Jessie Hairston Goins. After conversations with the family, I found him in the 1900 Forsyth County, North Carolina census at the age of 28 along with his wife Martha Davis Hairston and his chidren, Ernest, Jessie, Eugene and Mildred. This record lead me to an 1880 Forsyth County, North Carolina in which Tip was enumerated along with his sisters Sallie, Elizabeth and his nephew Johnnie. The same census list Robert and Betsey as their parents.

In this 1880 census it was reported and or recorded that Tip was eight years old. Therefore he was born abt 1871 or 1872 and doesn't appear with the family in the 1870 Forsyth County census. The three people who appear in the 1870 and 1880 Forsyth County census (linking the family together ) are Robert and Betsey, Tip's parents and one of his sisters Elizabeth.

Tip's remaining sisters in the 1870 Forsyth County census includes Dicey, Manerva, Mitte, Maranda, and Louretta. Again Elizabeth is included in this census as an one year old.

I am trying to find Tip's sisters listed in the 1870 and 1880 censuses. I believe his sister Sallie married a Robinson. I also believe she passed away in the 1950s in Forsyth County.

I appreciate any leads to my great great grandfather's sisters.
