I have not found any of his family in 1930 census, not sure where to look, a recently found death index gives his birthplace as Texas and says he was born in 1920, and that his mother's maiden name is Cummings. At least seeing some kind of record will confirm the name my grandmother gave me. Seeing his name in the death index gives me the confidence of the truth of who is he.

Now the next step is to find/follow his footsteps back to 1930 and see where he went.
