Finding obituaries is usually different for each location that your are researching and sometimes you can't find them at all. Perhaps someone with more specific knowledge of Shelby County, TN will chime in with a more specific response. As a general research strategy, I usually begin looking for obituaries with the local public library and ask the question there for identifying the best available local resources to obtain local obituaries. I usually include all of the specific information, just as you have in your post above plus all of my contact information. The Memphis Public has an "Ask A Question" that probably goes to the reference desk. Try it, I have a lot of good luck finding obituaries this way.
