I am just reading this message. I have a relative that I am researching name Annie Thomas Cook. According to the family members she was born in Newburn, NC, but on the census they had one of her parents listed as being born in Maryland. Annie husband Dennis Cook was born in Charles County and I havent found out any information on their marriage or her family. I am now curious by reading your post as into if Annie was orginally from MD and there can be a connection to your Thomas family.
