I have done research in Madison Parish and found my best information at the courthouse. I have also gone to a couple of cemetaries where relatives are buried and found other relatives there as well. I do my research through ancestry.com, heritagequest, familysearch.com,familysearchlabs.com,usgenweb.com. Since relatives tend to live in surrounding areas I located some in courthouse records a parish over (Tensas). Sondheimer is in East Carroll Parish and I have not been to that courthouse yet. I also call and talk to some older relatives who grew up there and now reside in other states. Some lived in Thomastown.
