The 1870 and 1880 US Census suggest ROBERT NOLES/KNOLLS b. 1795 Virgina may be the father of my great-great grandfather MOSES ANDERSON (1845 - 1915) of New Orleans, LA.
Unfortunately, I have no "solid" information on Robert Noles (such as birth, marriage, or death certificate). I know nothing of his early life in Virginia, but he and his wife Charlotte were sold to a second slave owner in "lower coast Algiers" shortly after the Louisiana Purchase.
