I have interviewed and reinterviewed people who are related to these obits I found. They assured me they didn't know a lot more. People will only tell you what they feel comfortable about and there could be other 'secret' stuff they just do not want known. So as a last resort I have been writing to communitive newspapers in that city requesting adds will be placed "looking for the cousin'. So far, for my maternal side in SC, 2 papers responded back verbally and one is doing it for free, the other there is a charge for the add. This is my last resort and then I feel I have done everything possible. I do not put information in the adds that would jeopardize a living persons identity information. The paper helps me edit a lot.
