Thanks for the reply. I'd love to have a copy of that book. Carol, have you been going to county offices to collect data on your family? Are your Payne's from Va? I'm going to travel to Va Historical Society in the next 30 days with other family members to look at slaveholder papers. We're trying to get past the Revolutionary War with Arthur Lee and his wife Anna Massie Lee. What has been your county office experiences in Va and WVa? One of our relatives has been to Covington and and other county offices and was really amazed of the condition of the data. Papers just sitting in boxes for 200 or so years!! Thanks again,
