I cam across this interesting set of old newspaper articles about the James Gang, their family, and a AA servant they had named Charles Finley. This search was prompted in order to satisfy my curiosity about an old western movie that aired this morning entitled "The Return of Frank James," starring Henry Fonda. In the mostly fictional movie a loyal "negro" servant named "Pinky" Washington had to be rescued from the gallows by Frank James. I wanted to try to find out just how much fiction (or truth) there was to any of this. Anyway, here is the link to the articles.
