I am researching in Perry County, AL. I am trying to search for family members that seem to just appear and disappear with each census year. I am wondering if there is a source to determine the same part of town from one census to the other?

Specifically what was the area "Beat 14, Cunningham" from the 1880 Census called in 1870? I know ten years is a long time, but I thought I would focus my search in that area first and branch out.
