Hi Jan, what a great post! I enjoyed the "I got your back" part because it sounds like my brother and sister when we went to the courthouse about six years ago in Marshall Texas. I swore though that I would make that trip by myself next time. As for the cemetery we went to, my sister was so busy trying to step over graves and looking out for worms,bugs and snakes, she twisted her ankle. (another reason to go by myself)
Anyway, I left the great state of Texas empty handed.
I am delighted that you found a few things during your trip and hope the young ladies will get an interest in this genealogy bug that hit us.
