Thank you so much now I'm even more confused.This is the information I have but, Addie Hawkins death Certificate states Ellen Lassett was born in Maryland not Alabama. And she was married to John W. Purnell. In a family bible of my great aunt Adeline Bailey she is listed as being married to Lit Purnell born in Alabama.
This quest is very important me.
