Went to Ancestry.com (North Carolina Death Certificates 1909-1975). Found DC for Beatrice Jackson (1865? - 1/4/51) age 65. Husband (still alive) was Charlie Powell. She was born in Cleveland, Ohio. She spent one day in Albemarle Hospital, Winfall NC. She died from pulmonary embolus, phlebitis in right leg, and was diabetic. Burial was 1/7/51 at Riddickes Grove, Belvedere, NC. Funeral Director was Isaac Lowe (7/9/27-1/25/59) in Hertford, NC. His address was 2125 Edenton Road, Hertford, NC. The informant was Robert Jackson (relationship not noted).

There was no mention of daughter Ruth on the DC. Do you have any info on her, e.g. last name??

I would google the name of the Hertford newspaper, and ask that they check her obituary. Send self-addressed, stamped envelope with your request giving all pertinent info. If I can look up anything else, ask.
