For instance, many of the relatives are only aware of thefact that if I have a death certificate of my own parents, but one of their parents or loved ones...now that's a different story. This is why I am leary. Joseph" ====================================== Hello Joseph, I too use the LDS Labs Pilot site for DC's, mine are primarily Ohio DC's from 1908-1953. I certainly hope they will be able to expand on the years included for Ohio DC's at some later date. For your 'leary' relatives perhaps you could explain to them that a DC is a matter of public record and 'most' States have few, or no restrictions, as to who may access them. Also, that you are a genealogists and are using the DC's in an attempt to verify family information as to birth/death dates & locations, where the individuals may be buried, some familial relationships (parents) and cause(s) of death to build a family health history profile. I hope your family will become more receptive to your research once they understand that you are not hunting for 'scandals & skeleton's' in your quest for genealogical and family history. Best Wishes,
