In Response To: Re: [FL] Legend of "outlaw" Edgar Watson killed 19 ()
Hello Spivey, in 15 years of researching Edagr Watson I only found two people who did not like him. Ada House who was D.D. Houses Wife and Alfred LeChevelier who Watson shot his hat off his head. LeChevelier lived on the indian mound that is the Watson Place today. He Squatted there when Richard Hamilton owned the quick Claim to it and refused to leave. LeChevelier later sold the Island to Will Raymond. Who Watson knew was wanted by the law and told the Sheriff in Keywest were he was and they shot and killed him at the mouth of Lostman's River. Watson saw the Widow Raymond in Keywest a few day's later and bought the Island from her and that is how he aquired the Indian Mound. Look on Ebay for the audio books using Matthiessen in the search,m they are listed all the time. I own all three audio books signed by Peter. Shadow Country is a brand new book, I own the uncorrected proofs of all of these books and peter has signed them for me. Regards Alvin
