Peter Matthiessen rewote his trilogy as one book now and it is called (Shadow Country). I'm friends with many of the Families in this book as well as Peter and the Watson Family. I have researched Mr. Watson, (No one called him Ed not even his Family)for 15 years now and hold the highest respect for the man who's sugarcane started U.S. Sugar. He owned one of only three houses with a wooden floor and owned the first moter boat and car south of the trail on the mainland.
