I don't remember you mentioning a LUCY Vance in your queries. We both know chasing these Vances is frustrating. My LUCY VANCE was in Edgefield SC in 1870. Someway she made it to Monroe Co. Ms by 1900. I have found that her brother Elbert Vance, lived and died in Johnston, Edgefield SC, and he named one of his Daughters Lucia which is probably Lucy. So did our Lucy's move around a lot or is this just a coincidence. According to census guestimates she was born 1852 in Johnston, SC. Your dates are quite a bit off from mine. BUT!!!!!!!!!????????????
