As someone in this thread has already said, the information in a DC is only as good as the one who gave the information. While most of it is probably correct, sometimes the informant doesn't know everything. What I have found in the past is that sometimes an informant would give the surname of a mother with the name that he knew it to be, that is, there were cases when the mother had remarried and had a new surname, and that was the one that the informant put on the DC. Also, sometimes there were misspellings of the names, which could be due to the dialect, or simply because no one knew how to spell it.
