I am so glad Ancestry has added the original Death Certificates, we must remember the information on the DC is as good as the information the informant knows of the daparted's mother and father. The informant for a maternal Aunt was her husband, by his information her father was named Judge Jordan my Ggf, this incorrect info was eventually passed on to me by my eldest cousin who had put together a family tree, my Ggf's name was Jordan[ Cameron ] Jordan, as enumerated on the 1870 Durham census.Information on my paternal Ggf's DC, the informant was his grandson, he believed his Ggfathers name was Shade, Shade was his Gfather's brother's name, his Ggfathers name was Frederick.
Now we can read maiden names, we can also see the cause of death, for example hypertension which nas caused heart problems , certain illnesses can be hereditary in families, also so much time is saved, I live in Phila, Pa and waiting for documents seems take for ever.
