I've got plenty of info on George W. Carter's family; his parents were William Henry Carter(b.1867) & Martha Snow (b.1875). William Henry Carter was the son of Plummer Washington Carter (1846 Warren Co./March 10, 1928 Warren Co.) and Unknown (his wife's 1st initial was "M"); Martha Snow was the dau/of Primus Snow, her mother I haven't found in any records, so far. I don't find the SNOW family prior to 1880, so I have no idea of their origins, but CARTERs are well documented in my tree:

Also, your message intrigues me because you have answered a few questions that I was stuck on about some of George and his siblings and who they married (I didn't have George's wife,Betty as as Hockaday, for instance). I'd like to discuss this further with you since you apparently have further info about what happened to the family that I haven't found yet.
