Does anyone have any experience in trying to get early (pre 1930) death certificates from the Durham County office of Registrar of Deeds? I sent off for family death certificates from the Orange County Registrar of Deeds and received them with in two weeks. It has been a month since I sent off the requests to Durham. Does any one have an idea of their turn around time (before I start calling and bugging them)? I was able to give them all of the pertinent information with the order.
