I am looking for the great granddaughter of John Freemont Smith who lived in Kamloops, British Columbia-he is one of our early 19th century Black pioneers. His daughter Agnes Christina Smith moved to Los Angeles, California in the 1930s. She married Andrew Allen. They lived in LA. Last tracked by voter lists in 1944. They had a daughter who was Andrea Baines nee Allen. In 1993, Andrea contacted the Kamloops museum about her great grandfather. I am trying to find Andrea Allen Baines and to learn more about her mom and dad etc. I am writing a Dictionary of Canadian Biography entry on John Freemont Smith see Canada Forum. Any help would be appreciated!
